The Best Way To Redeem miles

We are going to travel to CDG using miles.
Is it best to redeem your miles for flights by
going on line or by calling the airline direct?

Sorry for not putting all the info. down. We’re using AA miles and are flexible as to which airport we’re connection from.. We will be originating from TPA then connecting from one of seven (CLT, PHL,JFK,DFW,ORD BOS or MIA) which ever one we can get a flight from. We’re then going to CDG from there. Hope I’m not too confusing. Thanks for you help.

You can book online using AA’s search tool. You will see flights by BA/AA/AY/AB show up there though AB may be phantom space and AY space is rare. You have to check BA’s site to verify AB/AY space as well as check for IB space and then call to book.
