Hi Lucky and flyers!

I’ve had a suss around the fact that the Malaysian Ringgit is dropping and is fantastic for fellow Australians both for tourism, flying and shopping!

So I’ve been scouting flights basing the start point in KUL. Though flying from PER to KUL and return will be an additional cost but no harm in flying an LCC like AirAsiaX for AU$400 RT in Economy or AU$900 RT in their lie-flay business or spending a bit more with MAS in J at AU$1100 RT.

Back to basing a flight from KUL; being charged in MYR (Ringgit) and the exchange rate being Excellent with the AUD. I’ve found that Thai Airways in Part Y+ and then J goes at $1700 to ARN from KUL via BKK.

Full J via BKK with Thai is AUD$2300. Now, I don’t want EVERYONE to know haha

You can book a full J class ticket via Emirates or CX or EY or who ever and pay ~AUD$4000+ RT from PER possibly SYD as well. So if I do a LCC to KUL or even pay LCC ‘J’ or MAS I’m still saving and would experience an excellent airline with a fresh 777-300 with Thai Airways.

Now, Lucky, you can do the 90% off Reward flight to Jakarta again with GA or to SIN if, that is IF you find availability and then hop over to KUL and review Thai’s new J offering!

    Let me know your thoughts.
