I received a targeted mailer for getting the Delta Platinum Amex. Bonus is 25K miles. I would cancel my Delta Amex Gold, which is $95/year. The new one would be $195/year, so I would get 25K miles for an extra $100. I had really wanted the CSP card but had too many CC’s. I did recently get the Citi Prestige, and then my hubby authorized me for his CSP card. So I already have two new cards. this Delta card would be three new ones! I don’t think I will EVER get under 5/24!!

Do you think this card would be a good deal for me? I would probably cancel it in a year and go back to the Gold Delta. Thank you!!

In general, I think the card is worth it, but I’d wait until the next time there’s a bonus offer. That card often goes to 60k.

One more question: I was reading their T&C’s through your link, and saw info about Shoprunner. Have you ever talked about this free shopping portal on your site? Would I get miles on my Delta AMEX Gold card through this portal like I do on their Skymiles shopping link?

If you paid with the Delta Amex, then you’d get miles for the purchase but no other bonus miles like you would with AAdvantageeshopping or something.
