Student on the Hunt for 1st Miles-Credit Card

Student on the Hunt for 1st Miles-Credit Card

So I’ve just moved to Germany for university, and I am ready to get my first credit card. Humour me, please. (We all have to start from somewhere right?)

It took a while to get settled down but I finally have all the documentation I need to be eligible for a card here, and I’d like to get one that earns some miles. Just reached gold this week on KLM/Air France’s Flying Blue, and I’m still gold on Thai Airways Royal Orchid program.

What is the best card you’d recommend for a student that also earns miles? The only card that I am hoping to avoid is Lufthansa’s Miles and More, but other then that – Sky is the limit.

    Cheers!

I know that this isn’t much but, get a bank card, not an airline card. You can transfer your miles (usually at a 1:1 ratio) to more programs.

Welcome @marleeehpark – just for clarification: are you a US citizen who’s just moved to Germany and you want a US credit card or are you looking to get a German-based credit card? If the latter, check @Tiffany’s post from about 18 months ago for starters:
