I’m OneWorld Emerald through AA. If I redeem Avios (thinking about that signing bonus!) for a flight can I have my AA FF# in the PNR so that I am “emerald” on that BA award ticket?

Pretty sure you can, though you might need to call AA/BA to update.

You could also just travel with your physical card from AA to show at the airport. I’m Platinum with AA and they still send me a card every year, so I assume for Executive Platinum they do the same.

Yes, after you have mdae the booking just call BA and change the frequent flyer number on the reservation
