    Just wanted to share video of a recent stay at the St. Regis Langkawi. I have read about the hotel on this blog several times and was shocked to see the (lack) of service at a “5 star” hotel.

    While I was still in the room housekeeping was cleaning the room. They put used coffee cups into the bathroom sink and filled it with water. After I started recording with my GoPro you can see the housekeeper go into the bathroom, start to dry the cup, smell the cup, and then pickup a DIRTY towel off the ground to continue to ‘clean’ the cups.

    This is unacceptable behavior in ANY hotel. I don’t think you should recommend this hotel to anyone in the near future!

    I posted the video on youtube because I even I couldn’t believe it.

    Have you tried to bring to the attention of Starwood Corporate? Forget the local GM, if staff does things like this he/she is useless.

    Considering state of the bathrooms on Lucky flight to KUL on RJ and this I would say that Malaysia has some serious issues when it comes to cleanliness.
