I actually type this from the airport earlier this year, my husband and I went to Istanbul. Boy, has that caused us some CRAZY inconvenience. We keep getting the SSSS on our tickets.

Like many, we have TSA Pre check and GOES. I applied for and received a Redress number about a month ago. I entered into the airline under my profile, but here I am again, marked with the S’s. How on earth do I get this removed? Does it take a certain amount of time after you get your letter from DHS to get into the system?

I’m curious if your SSSS situation got resolved. My husband and I always travel together. I have got SSSS twice for a flight from Costa Rica to the US and once for an Auckland to US flight. My husband has not. Nine months ago I got a Redress number. The status still says Pending. I contacted the office two months ago and was told it is now “In Progress” but when I check the status it again says “Pending”. In Costa Rica they won’t let me go through the screening until our ‘zone’ is called to board. As we have Economy seats this is usually the last zone so there is little time to spare before takeoff. It is really stressful. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance!
