SQ Sched change

SQ Sched change

Quick question about your experience with SQ schedule changes. I booked three (paid) tickets for family for SFO-SIN-REP-DAD,HKG-SFO. There is a 3 day layover in SIN, and I booked an early AM flight to REP then the late night connection to DAD, for a de facto daylong layover in Siem Reap.

A schedule change dropped the REP-DAD flight. We asked Singapore to push us to the Vietnam air flight the same evening. They refused and said to contact our OTA. We did so, and the OTA pushed through the request.

Is there anything you recommend to keep the REP stop? Of course they will let us switch to a direct flight to DAD, but this is their first trip to SE Asia so I’d prefer to keep the layover.

Have you heard back? It will likely come down to ticketing agreements, and you can certainly ask, but the airlines aren’t under any obligation to provide you with a certain routing — just transportation to your final destination.
