SQ award – new A350 Business versus Suites ? Chances of date change

SQ award – new A350 Business versus Suites ? Chances of date change

Hello Everyone, I am trying to make my way to Asia with an SQ award ticket ideally on the 16th/17th of November on a award ticket. So far I secured a C class award seat on the 15th out of Amsterdam on the 350 and a seat on the 19th out of Zurich on the A380 Suites. Two questions really : What is your experience with SQ releasing seats closer to the flight ? I am waitlisted on every possible combination… I am KrisFlyer Gold
What do you recommend ? I have flown Suites several times and while service was memorable sometimes I found the aircrafts worn. How is the new A350 ? I know Suites is a class of it’s own but what do we think of the whole journey – lounges and hard product ?

I flew the A350 when they first ran it to KUL. A whole 20 minutes so I probably can’t give you a complete analysis. The new BC seats are beautiful, comfort wise I’d have to sit longer. Of course no bed on this flight. It is a quiet aircraft and the IFE seems to be top notch. If you’ve gone the Suites route I’d give this a try, especially for the cost. Then again, the suites are the suites so this won’t compare overall.

I don’t have any data points to help on your waitlist question.
