DCLauren New MemberWith the new combined program, will your 2018 nights with both Marriott and SPG combine for elite status? Or just hotel nights after August 1?
Trying to figure out if I should go for SPG plat using with 25 stays (which I will miss when it is gone!) or 50 nights via Marriott. The 50 nights will likely only work for me if any SPG nights pre-August become Marriott nights once the merger happens, both counting towards my elite status.

I’d want to assume that for 2019 status, all your nights across both programs as of Aug 1 combines to count toward requalifying for 2019. It would be incredibly bad for Marriott to only count nights beginning 2019.
