    How can you get the extra points on specified categories if the company you are paying submits charges as “miscellaneous” or “utilities”. These are the categories indicated for Verizon and Comcast on my Chase statement. Both should be 2x points on my Chase Ink card – telecoms, internet svc.

    You’d have to contact Chase and see if they’ll be willing to adjust the earn for you, each time.

    I’ve not had luck when I bought items in telecom stores – or even when I made a payment at a kiosk in their store – but it was fine when my bill was paid via credit card via autopay.
