Southeast Asian airlines routes to US

Southeast Asian airlines routes to US

I’ve been seeing several reports, so i just wanted to check; is it true that several South east Asian airlines are trying to start direct flights to the US, specifically the west coast? And if so, is the focus just for LA or for other cities like Seattle and SFO, too?

It’s quite possible but I think it’s a niche market. THAI offered nonstop service from LAX to BKK on their A340, but ended up cutting the route for numerous reasons. Although there has been a surge in American travelers visiting SE Asia in the last few years. But don’t forget that there are TONS of flights out of most major airports in the US to cities in Asia that have multiple < 3-5 hour connecting flights to major cities in SE Asia.
