Somewhere, Anywhere, from U.S. or Europe

1. Anonymous Guest

Ben,
I’m looking to go somewhere far from home (the U.S.) over Thanksgiving for 5-7 days. I can originate either in the U.S. or Europe, but it needs to be 1) business or first class, (I do have my standards!), and 2) cheap. I dilly-dallied around and missed the Qatar option from Europe to Australia (my bad), so now I’m desperate to find another option under USD 2,000 roundtrip.

Any suggestions?

Play around with the Google Flights “Discover Destinations” tool. You can select Business Class on top, enter some dates and it returns results with some pricing.

I found JFK-BCN on Avianca via Bogota for $2000 round trip over Thanksgiving. (out of the way routing but would be fun, especially if you credit the miles to a Star Alliance program) https://goo.gl/flights/8mv3

New York to Rome is about $2225, flying TAP Portugal via Lisbon there and Ukraine via Kiev on the return. https://goo.gl/flights/ynTJ
