Singapore Suites Saver?

Singapore Suites Saver?

1. novelist1985 Member

So we’ve loaded up a ton of UR and TY points (approx. 600K combined) +120K SPG points, and next year in October we plan to redeem a bunch for our honeymoon to Madagascar. We’re also thinking about Singapore, Australia, and maybe a return to the Maldives.
I’m looking at flights out of SFO and JFK to SIN or SIN to JFK or SFO, and for the life of me can’t find a non-waitlist saver award… looking as far as a year out. Are they that limited? Several months ago I at least found a few days with advance saver availability. Since I got into the game this has been my white whale— just looking for a one-way with a long flight time.
Would hate to have to let it go, but thinking ~190K PP one way probably isn’t worth it. (Though I did just burn 140K on a one way LH F)
Also willing to try different destination instead of SIN if that might help.

hi @novelist1985, welcome. You’re not doing anything wrong and there is no secret but to keep checking unfortunately. If you are comfortable transferring the points over you could make a waitlisted booking and then call to check on the status regularly. Some folks have reported success with this. Alternately you could use the points later for UA or other flights. Good luck!
