Singapore Airlines A380 routes

Singapore Airlines A380 routes

  1. BTC New Member

Hi! I am currently trying to book Singapore Airlines A380 suites class using Krisflyer points.

    My question is two parts:

    1. -how can I efficiently find out which of their routes fly the A380?

    2. -I am leaning towards the Auckland – Singapore route. I noticed that the dates I chose show the use of their 777-300ER plane. My understanding is that they use the A380 for this route during certain times of the year only. How can I find out when the A380 is available for this route besides looking at the booking by clicking each day and seeing which plane?

https://www.iflya380.com/a380-airlines/singapore-airlines.html — I think that shows most of their routes but I’m not sure how well maintained it is. Not sure about seasonal routes. Their call center is fairly proficient. I might try calling them to see when equipment changes are scheduled? You could also try searching for suites availability since only the 380 has them. You can also search for 380 flights on the Airbus site I mentioned.

They just announced 2 dailies on the 380 from SIN to SYD. If you want an inexpensive SQ A380 flight that’s always available in first look at PEK-SIN. It’s a dinner flight too, 4:30pm departure. The flights to Australia are overnights leaving at midnight so it’s “supper” service.

The 380 goes to London, Frankfurt, Zurich, Sydney, Peking, JFK and maybe Delhi. If I remember the Peking flight was 45k * .85 in first.

Good luck (I don’t think AKL is on the schedule at this time)

I’ve been looking at SQ A380 flights for March 2017 and all the flights show an A380 between SIN and AKL, so maybe you could try flying that route in March, but unfortunately I’m not too sure about other seasons but of course it’d quite easy to just quickly search for the flights on google flights. As for the routes they fly the A380 on, the ones I’m sure about are LHR, CDG, ZRH, FRA, DEL, BOM, PEK, HKG, SYD, AKL (as mentioned is probably seasonal or ending soon), and NRT and PVG are ‘supposed’ to have it but I can’t seem to find any flights, and I know because I flew PVG-SIN in March 2016 on the A380, and NRT-SIN in the A380 used to be bookable, but I’m not sure of the exact situation now.
