Hi Guys – I have a question, and I am thankful for your help in advance!
I am booking 4 nights the W Amsterdam, using my Citi 4th night free, and I only have SPG Gold, but my father is SPG Platinum.
Can I book without any rewards number, and prepay for the room, and add my father as an additional guest, and then enter his platinum number to receive the benefits close to check in?
Thanks,
J
Thanks in advance for your help!
I am travelling to Amsterdam and plan to stay at the W Amsterdam, using Citi’s 4th night free.
The lowest rate is a pre-paid rate, but my problem is I am only SPG gold, but my father is spg platinum.
Can I book the room, and pre pay (without any rewards #), and add my father as an additional guest – then a few weeks before check in can I add his SPG Plat number?
Thanks,
James
You can probably add his SPG# at checkin but I’m not sure if that’ll go back up to Citi and have it negatively impact your 4th night free benefit. Have you called Citi’s concierge to ask if you can book the stay with both yours and your father’s name on the reservation and add his SPG#? I’d try that first.
I don’t think Citi would have trouble with a ff number being added at check-in. The bigger issue might be the mismatch between the number and the name of the guest (you), especially since your father will not be there with you. Also be aware if you do this then all the points earned for the stay will go to your dad’s account.
