Securing Multiple Transit/Visitor Visas Qatar?
Hi there,
Long time reader here of this great blog!
Would like to seek advice from fellow travelers or from expert Ben himself.
I booked a roundtrip business class ticket from US-SE asia via Doha on Qatar Airways. Layover of 14hrs outbound and 12 hrs inbound in Doha. As a US passport holder, I’d like to go in the city on Both ways. I’ve already applied and approved for a free Transit Visa via Qatar Airways website applied for the outbound. Because transit visas are single entry, I need a way to get another visa for the inbound a week later. Qatar airways won’t allow me to apply for a second visa on the same itinerary. How does one go about getting the necessary documents to enter Qatar again? Ideally, I’d like to get a second transit visa free of charge. Is that even possible or do I just have to get a transit or visitor visa (on arrival) at the airport and pay a fee?
Haven’t found much info online through my research about my similar situation.
Any help or experience?
You get the transit visa at immigration. It’s $27. Use a credit card or pay a fee to use cash. Not sure about a 2nd free one. Use Uber to go into town. $6.
Just got back from my trip to Singapore/Malaysia while flying Qatar. So yeah, the airline provides one single entry transit visa free of charge. I had to pay for a second transit visa on the return portion of the journey. 100 Qatar Riyals, roughly the $28 MarkS mentioned.
Thanks
