Ritz Carlton Rewards Posting Timeframe
Hey Lucky (and Tiffany!)-
Sorry if this has already been covered but I was considering applying for the Ritz-Carlton Rewards Card in hopes of utilizing the 3 night award for an upcoming trip in November. How quickly after your achieve the minimum spend would you have access to their certificate, or is would this be awarded as points to be used towards a stay. Can I book the stay in advance of receiving this? Sorry for the relatively basic question, I am new to the hobby but trying to maximize the current offerings.
Most of the time, the bonus nights will post to your RC account a few days after minimum spend is completed.
You have to have the bonus nights posted before making a reservation
It could be a few days after meeting the spend, but sometimes when a partner is involved it’s some time after the statement closes in which you meet your minimum spend.
My card should be arriving soon, and I have some big purchases to make, so will be able to tell you the timeline in a month or so.
thanks! do you think there will be any limits to availability of rooms that can be booked with this bonus nights? Also, is there a time limit on use of the bonus nights, some have said one year. Just trying to figure out if I will have an opportunity to use the bonus nights! thanks. And Tiffany, love your blog posts and was rolling when I was reading about placement of the TV in your hotel in LA! Can wait to read some more!
My guess is that any standard room will qualify for the free nights — that’s usually how it works. A year sounds reasonable too, but I’ll let you know once mine post.
And thanks for the kind words, far too sweet!
