I arranged a trip to japan on US airways miles some time ago. Some time after i made the original reservation a ticket on JAL first class from LAX to TYO opened up. I called in and paid the change fee to amend the reservation from an American first ticket. I am flying in two days and i just went to check my seats and saw that i was in business class not first! Going back and checking the email confirms does not list a class of service, so im not sure what exactly happened here. Do I have any recourse?
@ Ryan — Hmmm, that’s a toughie. If you made the change a while ago and didn’t check the itinerary, I’m afraid there’s probably not much that can be done. I’d learn from it in the future and double check itineraries as soon as they’re issued. Sorry, that’s a crappy situation. :-/
