Currently on QR 921 from Auckland to Doha. 40 minutes in, we were informed that the plane had run out of champagne. This is the 2nd time that we’ve had this happen on this route and the 3rd consecutive flight with QR that this is an issue. For a 5* airline, this is completely unacceptable. We paid for biz class tickets to have excellent service. This is cost-cutting at its worst and has never happened to us on any other airline.
Pretty shocking considering the “there’s no need for first class because our biz is so great” lip service…
