Qatar vs Emirates Business + First

Qatar vs Emirates Business + First

    Hi,
I’m planning to book a trip WAW-PVG-WAW in Business, I can choose:

Qatar with a 21h layover in Doha (787, 2 flights on 777 in QSuites then A330) or

Emirates with 20h layover in Dubai (Business on 777, A380, First on A380, Business on 777).
Which one would you choose based on the soft/hard product (QSuites 2 ways long-haul and better Business on 787 vs average business on Emirates 777 but one flight in First)?
Which city is better for a layover (both airlines provide a hotel)?

I flew Emirates business before, both flights have similar prices, Qatar gets me closer to Star Alliance Gold in Asiana programme which is much more valuable.

How will Qatar flights get you closer to Star Alliance status with Asiana? Qatar is a member of OneWorld, and only flights from Doha straight to Seoul can be credited to Asiana…

I’ll let someone else chime in on the recommendations since I haven’t flown all those personally… but I’d take 2 QSuites any day over one Emirates First and an average business.

Yeah, I’d take QR’s 787 and QSuites with one flight on their A330 compared to 3 biz flights and one F on EK. If you’re paying cash, your itinerary might be eligible for the +Qatar program as well – https://discoverqatar.qatarairways.com/us-en/plusqatar

    Go with QR.

The EK B777 fleet is not average, it’s decidedly below average for the flat beds in 2-3-2 and definitively bad for angle flats.

You should go for Qatar Airways, The Qsuite is the best business class out there. As David W mentioned, you will get 1 night free hotel accommodation of 2 nights against USD 100. You should book this in advance through the +Qatar website. Qatar Airways Hard and Soft Product is very good compared to any other European, Middle Eastern of American Airline (haven’t flown any Asian Airlines yet).

Thank you for all the answers, that’s what I’ll do (QR flights including 787 and a stay with +Qatar).
