wondering if you have any creative ideas how to solve this problem…

I have a return leg of a cheap QR J ticket that was originally. CAI-DOH-PHL-DOH-CAI (I’ve already flown CAI-DOH-PHL. However given the current situation, I can’t fly back to Cairo – nor do I want to.
My end goal is to get to AUH for a 10:10pm award flight to NRT.
So currently I still have my PHL-DOH-CAI paid reservation, and then an award ticket booked MCT-AUH-NRT (figured it was good to placehold a MCT-AUH ticket). BUT having some major issues with the Qatar Customer service team – as they won’t reroute my CAI ticket to MCT because its “not the same region that I booked” – nor will they officially amend my reservation to just end in DOH – because “the rates are different to DOH vs CAI”. Though they are offering to reroute me to a number of other cities – in that region, the only safe ones of which worth mentioning are AMM and BEY, AMM schedule doesn’t work to get to AUH and BEY to AUH has no award availability.

I wanted to just hope for an award seat from DOH-MCT to tack onto the front of my award, but if they won’t amend my reservation to stop in DOH then I assume this will cause problems.
Also wondering what the viability of dumping the last leg are.. but not sure what kind of trouble that will cause

A secondary interest (priority) is getting access to the Al Safwa lounge…
