QATAR 50% Discount- Can someone explain?

    Hi

I have been receiving an email from the Qatar Airways lately that they are offering 50% discount on the flights to USA, Europe and Africa but when I try booking the ticket I can’t seem to save any money. TC are that during a specific period flights are to be booked but then also no benefit. Can someone explain the catch. I am from India. Thanks.

Could it be 50% off just the base fare, before taxes and fees? Sometimes base fare is really low and the taxes and fees are the most expensive parts of the ticket.
