Qantas awards not showing up on Alaska booking portal

Qantas awards not showing up on Alaska booking portal

  1. Anonymous Guest

Ben, I tried this multiple times and not able to see any award booking space (economy/business/first class) for Qantas on Alaska portal for the entire year. I verified that the award seats are available on Qantas and British Airways portals (e.g., Sept 11th 2019). I am hoping you have better contacts higher up in Alaska mileage plan customer service, as the agents I talked to are just saying “no seats are available”.

Alaska is not a full oneworld member and as such just has a partnership with Qantas. This means they typically have access to fewer award seats that full-fledged partners. I know a few years ago when I was booking tickets on Fiji Air, Alaska could see only one seat but AA had access to two seats. So this is normal for Alaska.
