Possible to utilise *G status from one programme, while crediting miles to another?

Possible to utilise *G status from one programme, while crediting miles to another?

  1. Anonymous Guest

I have Star Alliance gold status through Aegean, and have already re-qualified for the following year. I usually fly Lufthansa and so am thinking of crediting my miles for the rest of the year to Miles & More to see if I can upgrade my Frequent Traveller Status there.

My question: is there a way to credit the miles to Miles and More, while taking advantage of the benefits that come with having Gold status on the booking (incl. higher chance of upgrades) through status on Aegean? Eg if I use Miles+Bonus my boarding pass has priority boarding, if I use Miles & More it doesn’t.

Generally it seems as though only one frequent flyer programme can be associated with the booking so is there a workaround?

Attach the Aegean number to your flights until boarding – at the gate, have the agent change it to Miles & More.
