Positioning to SFO from ORD

Positioning to SFO from ORD

Hi there! I have a flight out of san fran to Singapore next Tuesday and need to get there from ORD. Does UNited tend to make availability on these flights in economy or business in the days before the flight?

    Cheers!

We’re entering peak holiday travel season so I wouldn’t count on it.

Paid flights are pretty expensive but like @Gaurav said, peak travel is almost upon us and award availability will be scarce. I’d just pay for the ORD-SFO flight.

Thanks guys. Paid it is. I was hoping to use my topbonus silver status but just found out I’m only classic 🙁 the free status didn’t go through. No cheap flights on united

Right now UA actually has saver fares in C and Y on the 0705 flight, so 12.5k miles (25k for C) for that isn’t too bad, besides that AA, VX, and UA have fares for ~$280 which less than a week out isn’t bad for that market. You can transfer from Chase UR if you don’t have miles or usually Aeroplan also has good saver availability for 12.5k miles and you can transfer to them from MR.

If I were you I would snag the ticket quickly as I am not sure how long it will stick around.
