PointsPro v. TPG
@Lucky – DM me. Or take advice from people on Twitter. This is what I do for a living, if you want a consult.
What’s happening?
It appears that TPG was calling was calling himself a “Points Pro” – while Ben’s company has a paid service (and I think a TM registration) for POINTSPRO. Ben called out TPG. Most people tweeted that they didn’t see the big deal.
And a few people were offering their expert advice as TM attorneys. I am one. I just said to DM me because I don’t want to tweet or post legal advice – not necessarily because I only will do it for $, but I don’t want to be sued if people rely on what I tweet or post. So I suggested Lucky DM me if he wants some free advice. Plus, I’m solidly in the OMAAT camp, not TPG’s camp. For both info and for legal reasons!
Hah thanks for the background info, gonna go grab some popcorn 🙂 .
Was the original tweet deleted?
I don’t know. Let me see. I think I took a screenshot, but I don’t think we are able to post images again.
It’s still there:

Rather tame by Twitter standards, but I am willing to offer some guidance to Lucky. 🙂
Hah, thank you! I don’t know that we’re really committed to pursuing anything with them (they have sooooooo much money, and even more time/resources), but may be in touch. Appreciate it 🙂
And I was a customer of PointsPros!
