Personal Threshold Bonus on MileagePlus
Hi Lucky et al,
I earned 30,000 for passing a personal threshold bonus and then another 40,000 for passing the second threshold bonus. I am not going to complain about the extra 70,000 miles in my account, but not sure if it is a glitch or something with good cause. I have never seen this before while flying with United, but that is supposed to be for the next 6 months and with a registration; mine is back dated a month when I last flew on United on a C class fare. Has anyone else seen something like that on your mileage balance before? I’ve seen messages about a new spending threshold bonus going around the internet, but even so, the numbers for passing personal threshold limits don’t seem as high as mine. Might I count myself lucky?
HU
Hi all,
I checked my UA account today to find two new additions to my balance. One says I passed personal bonus threshold one for 30,000 miles and another says I passed it for 40,000 miles. Has anyone seen this before? I don’t mind an extra 70,000 miles in my account. A quick review of what’s online says there is something like this going on now. But that promotion was only supposed to start on May 26 and not a month ago, where my mile accrual is backdated. Is this a glitch or am I just lucky?

Could be a glitch, could be the promotion terms including travel up to a month ago. Sometimes promotions are strange where the registration date is after the start date of the promotion, resulting in retroactive activity.
I wouldnt worry too much about it – plan a trip using those miles instead!
