Park Hyatt Dubai – Same Sex Couple

Park Hyatt Dubai – Same Sex Couple

  1. robsterny New Member

Hi Lucky. I know you’ve stayed at the Park Hyatt Dubai a few times. My partner and I currently have a stay booked for January. I just realized that we have a king bed booked. Do you think they are going to have a problem with a same sex couple sharing a king room?

    Thanks.

In practice, no one will care. If you’re making out with your partner in the middle of the shopping mall, someone might take offense. But at a Western resort no one will say anything otherwise.

Couldn’t agree more. I stayed there this summer (wonderful hotel!) and I assure you you will have no problems whatsoever.

You’ll be 100000% fine at virtually any hotel in Dubai, especially at a western chain. No need to even hide that you’re sharing a king bed.

    Enjoy your stay!

@Lucky. People in the Middle East might tolerate homosexuality in private and they do not want to confront you but you are certainly on thin ice if you constantly claim how gay-friendly it is, expressions like 100000%, no need to even hide, etc. Remember you already had a kind of incident at immigration. Anyone else with me?

I slightly disagree. You will get a few looks and a possible sub-treatment from the staff. Did you know, UAE are working on a profiling software to identify h*sexuals at the airport and conduct extra questioning + more. It was in the press circa 2014.

    This is not true.
