Paris to Qatar routing

Paris to Qatar routing

  1. Anonymous Guest

Hi! So I am planning on booking a flight from paris to qatar on the A380 in first class with advantage miles but my final destination is Dubai. Is paris to Qatar and then Dubai on qatar a legal routing? Also if so is it possible to extend that layover to spend time in the Al Safwa first class lounge?

    Thank you very much !

    Hello Alan

Yes it’s a legal routing, but DOH-DXB is operated by a 2 cabin plane sold as Y and F.

Had it been a J award you would have needed to call AA to get the F segment DOH-DXB at J price.

Max layover is 24 hours from the time the Paris flight land in Doha, there need to be F award space on the DOH-DXB route the next day of course.

One more question, do you know if they close the first class lounge at all? My flight gets in at 12 and I want to schedule an 8 hour layover to be able to sleep a bit and avoid staying at a hotel.

No all the QR lounges in DOH is open 24/7.

Try getting one of the sleeping rooms in the lounge that Lucky mentions if you are staying the night.

You can try hitting the A350 / B787 flights to DXB if you’re lucky enough on timings. 🙂
