I was wondering if I could get some advice; I’m looking to book a business class flight from Cairo to Bangkok – Currently there are two options available either flying Oman Air (787) for $570 or Etihad (777) for $624. They both leave and arrive within 15mins of each other. I’ve never flown either, but know that Etihad is a solid product. On the other hand, I’ve been hearing very good things about oman air too. Which would you choose?

I believe Ben found the catering on Oman Air fantastic. Etihad’s catering isnt that bad either. Have you read the reviews of Oman Air?

I think Oman’s business class seat on the 787 (especially a window seat) is better than the Etihad 777 seat though

I’ve read Ben’s review and that’s been pushing me more towards Oman air, saw a few random not so great reviews online about it – but nothing of substance was really reported. I just figured given that Etihad is one of the major 3, I ought to try it at some point, but perhaps now may not be the time. Any other thoughts?

Well, you won’t be able to credit miles from Oman Air to any great programme.
