Off-peak travel over Christmas?

Off-peak travel over Christmas?

  1. Mongolianhippo New Member

My job doesn’t afford me too much travel flexibility, so I’m asking about a specific time period. Are there are markets in the Western Hemisphere that are “off-peak” and give you a good bang for your buck (or miles) in the last couple weeks of December, including Christmas?

I’m assuming Cancun and most places in Mexico are saturated, but are there any worthwhile opportunities for a trip lasting around a week from the Midwest U.S.?

Europe can actually be a good deal, if you don’t mind the cooler temps. We’ve spent three of the past five New Years there.

I was trying to exclude Europe, but maybe that is the best/only option… how about Lisbon, Portugal? Any good miles redemptions there?
