NZ Visa

NZ Visa

I am traveling from SFO to SYD next week on a USA passport and return the following week by way of AUK. I obtained the required Visa for Australia, but am not clear if one is required for an overnight in New Zealand. The verbiage seems to be written different ways under different categories on the site, so I’m confused…or maybe just missing something. Please help!

There is a really easy app for NZ – NZeTA. Download it and apply right in the app – it is usually approved in less than 48 hours – mine was maybe 12 hours. It costs NZD 44.00 It is good for 2 years. I just did this last month as I am traveling there the end of the month.

The NZeTA app said if I want to leave the airport, while in transit, that I needed the Visa. Thanks for your reply.
