NYC Hotel Question

NYC Hotel Question

  1. CSSAUS New Member

Traveling from Sydney to New York and planning on being in NYC from Dec 6 – Dec 11 and looking to book a hotel in the mid-town vicinity between 42nd & 50th Streets.

I’m an IHG Platinum member, Hilton Gold, Starwood Preferred Guest Gold and ACCORPLUS silver and I’m wondering which of the hotel chains would I get the best benefits from.

    Thanks.

Hi CSSAUS, what do you value most when you travel?

For me, being in the same place for 5 nights, I’d value a hotel with a lounge, since eating out 3 meals a day for 5 nights would get expensive. I’d also appreciate a larger than average fitness center, since I’d get more use out of something like that over the course a week than I would on a quick one-night stay.

The Westin comes to mind, as does the Marriott Marquis (your Starwood status would transfer over). The Hilton Midtown is right there as well, and you’d get lounge access assuming you got upgraded

IHG owns Intercontinental Hotel. I believe the one in Times Square is a very nice and believe it has all the things you mentions…Big Gym and lounges. Room rates are a little high but I believe you get a fee upgrade. Check it out let me know what you think
