Novice Traveler to Las Vegas this weekend. What to do?

I am traveling to Las Vegas for a quick less than 24 hour trip, because I have 3 little kids, to see the Manny Pacquaio fight. I was lucky enough to get tickets from our nanny whose sister works with Manny in Congress. Anyway, I dont travel much and just came across this blog after reading the excellent Rolling Stones profile on Lucky. I checked tickets and booked two one way flights but it was quite costly. Is there another way? I need to get in saturday am and leave sunday am. Appreciate any help. Thanks.

Honestly, the prices are high probably because of that upcoming fight. But have you tried checking via Google Flights? You may be able to find a slightly better deal there.

Or, if you carry the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card or the Citi Thankyou Premier/Prestige cards, you can use points for the ticket, if booking on their travel portals.

If you have airline miles, you may be able to find some last minute award space.

The only other thing I might suggest is checking the southwest site since their prices are not usually included in travel websites. Good luck!

Try skiplagged as well. Sometimes that helps to knockoff few $
