No cancellation confirmation email from UA?
Hello! I called United this morning to cancel a ticket and request a refund for travel at the end of June. They changed our arrival date entirely, plus added another stop…my 1 stop itinerary from SEA-DUB had a duration of over 32 hours. The agent I spoke to (Rose) agreed that a refund was permitted, and said the $892.75 would be processed to my credit card within 7 days. I specifically asked her for the amount and that it was going to my credit card. I’m concerned that its been 6+ hours and I have not received any sort of cancellation email. When I go to “Find a Trip”, I get this message: “This reservation has been canceled. To use any remaining value toward a future flight, please select the button below.” She cancelled my friend’s flight also, and I get the same message when I search with her PNR.
Are they trying to screw me over with a flight credit? I sent a message through their FB page, but haven’t received a reply yet. How do I fight this if so?
