Multiple rooms in hotels (and get points/nights/stays)

Hello Ben,

I have seen this question coming and going but hotels change rules so I am eondering how it is currently working for major chains:

SPG: multiple rooms payment possible (if all rooms on your name, you get points/nights and stays….but max 3 rooms). Correct?
HILTON: multiple rooms payment possible (if all rooms on your name, you get only points). Correct? 2 or 3 rooms?
IHG: no idea
MARRIOTT: no idea
CLUB CARLSON: I think it is possible (at least in past for me it worked like SPG but lately I am not able to score that…..any ideas? changes?)

Thanks everybody…..a nice post would also be very helpfull!!!!

Marriott you get points for up to 3 rooms in your name, but only elite night credit for 1. If you have status, the perks come with the 3 rooms too (internet, breakfsst, etc.) Just confirmed that via a weekend trip a couple weeks ago!

Can’t speak for the other chains, I’m sure someone will chime in

You didn’t mention Hyatt but under their new program next year you’ll be able to get credit for up to 3 rooms at once: http://frequentmiler.boardingarea.com/2016/11/01/5-things-i-love-about-the-world-of-hyatt/
