MR points transfer to CX

MR points transfer to CX

1. Anonymous Guest

Hi,
I am having a question on transfer MR to CX/Asia miles.

I am planning on transfer the MR points to CX/Asia Miles soon but the card i am transferring from is a company card, and i am just one of the card holder. I recently found out that the name of the person transfer has to match the name of the person receiving the points?

Here’s the questions, since it’s a company card,
1. Can i have my colleague transfer the points to my company amex card? (the MR points are on the main company card holder account).
2. If i have my colleague transfer the points to his Asia Mile account, can he open the air ticket for me?

Thank you so much.

Sam

Not quite sure how a corporate MR card works. Can you access the MR points from your spending in a separate account or do they all accrue under your colleagues account? If it is the former then you should be fine, if it is the latter then you will not be able to transfer to your own Asia mile account.

The second option might be easier. Your colleague will have to add you to his redemption group to book the ticket for you (https://goo.gl/IJilIG).

Im not 100% sure about the corporate AMEX cards but for the regular Business versions of the card, you can only transfer points to the main card holder or authorized users. When transferring to authorized users though, you still need the Amex 4 digit security code as well as the 3 digit one on the signature panel from the main card member.
