Mistake Hotel Rate

Mistake Hotel Rate

  1. Anonymous Guest

Hi Ben, wondering what you suggest I do to get a hotel to honor a rate that I booked though Amex Fine Hotels and Resorts. The FHR website allowed me to book a nice room at a rate about 90% less then what I can directly through the hotels website. My reservation was booked 4 days ago and my reservation is less then 30 days from now. I don’t want to show up and be told the rate is different etc, and want to make sure I get the rate I booked, otherwise I’ll stay someplace else.

Similar thing happened last year at the Hyatt Santiago and Amex honored the deal. The hotel actually charged guests the rate that was on Amex FHR and Amex reimbursed them the difference.

Thanks Alex, I saw that but it was from 2015. Wondering for more data points. Amex said they will work with me, but have no idea what that really means.
