“Miles Flown” Towards Million Miler in 2020

“Miles Flown” Towards Million Miler in 2020

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Hi Ben,

By the end of this year, I will need about 21,000 miles to reach Million Miler. Yes, narrowly dodged a bullet. At least, I hope so.

Anyway, in trying to book flights in January, there is no longer a way to see how many miles will go towards my Million Miler status. I can try to use PQM for pre-2020 flight confirmations for places I have flown before, but what about a new route that I have not done yet?

    1. How can I know how many “miles flown” I will have towards 1MM for flights taken in 2020?
    2. For example, FLL-SFO-LAX in 2019 gave me 3083 PQMs that counted towards my 1MM status. How will that same flight accrue for 2020 for 1MM status?
    3. Will the minimum 500 miles still apply in 2020 for “miles flown” for Premier Members?

Thank you for any insight you can provide in this mess that United has created.

The 500 minimum hasn’t changed. I use milecalc.com to calculate flight distances for my own records. I know others on here use great circle mapper

Have you asked this question on FlyerTalk.com? I’m sure the resident UA brain trust over there have figured out the new normal. Start here https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/united-airlines-mileageplus-681/ and post your question. And don’t throw in the towel – get out there and get ‘er done! I’ve recently completed my DL 2 million miles after waiting years to complete it being close.
