Mileage credit issue

Mileage credit issue

  1. pstm91 Diamond

I recently flew KLM/Aeroflot roundtrip to Russia. It was all booked through KLM flyingblue. I wanted to credit these miles to my Alaska account, but it wouldn’t let me enter it. Long story short, FlyinBlue gave me a hard time each time I called and said they couldn’t do it, so the people at Alaska told me to just send them the tickets after the trip was complete in order to receive the miles.

For some reason, Flyingblue credited me miles for this trip. I don’t know how or why this happened, as I do not see my flyingblue number anywhere on the reservation or the ticket. If I send the tickets in to Alaska, can I still get credit for them, or am I stuck with these flyingblue miles?

It might be because you booked while logged into your KLM flying blue account. When you do that, the reservation is automatically linked to your flying blue account.

In your current situation, I’m not sure what will happen since FB has already given you miles. I’m not sure AS can give you any miles unless FB can take back the miles. Try a 3 way call with you, AS and FB and see if it can be resolved?

For the future, book while logged OUT of flying blue or tell the checkin/gate agent to REMOVE your FB number from the ticket, even if they cant add your AS number.

I’m assuming these were tickets booked on KLM but flown on Aeroflot? In that case KLM is right that you wouldn’t be able to credit to AS since AS is not a Aeroflot partner. As @David W says, if FB has already awarded you mileage, AS is not going to be able to do anything.
