Milage earnings in Rev-based Frequent flier programs

Milage earnings in Rev-based Frequent flier programs

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Ben,
Yesterday I noticed my dad was near a RT domestic award for our family on AA I then told him about what rev-based meant and he thaought it was great because; “buisness travelers are not spend-sensitive and are a large customer base” he talked about how on short flights it would help his milage earnings and I was thinking: if he bought 500$ tickets for the 2 of us would he get 7000 points(as AAdvantage gold) or would I get 2500 points (without status) and he get 3500 points?

It’ll be the latter scheme where your father will earn miles for flying based on his own status and you’ll earn your own miles based on your status.
