Marriot Rewards now blacking out Legacy SPG hotels.

Marriot Rewards now blacking out Legacy SPG hotels.

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Lucky,
I am a legacy SPG platinum member. Although the written policy has the deceiving “no black out” policy exceptions for legacy Marriot hotels (as you pointed out in your March 2019 article), I am now seeing they are doing this to SPG properties and he supervisor I called stood by the Westin’s right to limit reward bookings.

Specifically, as of now the Weston Portland has many rooms available (Including their base level “traditional room”) on the dates of April 9-11. However there is no option to use points.

Wondering if you could further look into this as it appears a clear violation of their own rules.

    Thanks.
