Maldives flights with MR and SPG?

Maldives flights with MR and SPG?

  1. Anonymous Guest

Hello – I have one way to Maldives covered with AA points for me and my spouse (either on Qatar or Cathay) but then need to use 90k MR and 45k SPG points to get us back to US. What are the best transfer options that have good availability J or higher. We would be willing to spend up to $1,000 buying points if it meant getting enough points for a nice F product as well.

Have you considered Aeroplan on TK? I think it is 70k one way and there shouldn’t be any surcharges. Not sure how award space looks like though. You could also look at ANA depending on your final destination in the US. Both are MR and SPG partners so you should be able to combine your miles to get the necessary points. Good luck!

Thanks for the tip (just remembered my login so name is different). I checked on United’s website and TK seems to have some availability. ANA only allows roundtrips it appears so wouldn’t work for us. We’re also considering taking advantage of FlyingBlue’s award chart of 62.5k to Israel and then using Avios or something else from there to Maldives rather than the stop in Dubai which we’re not all that interested in!
