Lufthansa strike rebooking

Lufthansa strike rebooking

  1. Centurion7 New Member

I was a Lufthansa strike casualty this week but they did come through with a rebook on BA. Two questions: what happens to the points I was supposed to earn (since BA obviously isn’t Star Alliance) and has anyone heard about the Rule 261 compensation (LH said it was force majeure and wouldn’t compensate) as I arrived much later than originally booked.

Welcome @Centurion7 – were you expecting to accumulate LH M&M or some other mileage? If M&M you certainly could ask if they’d give you the miles, especially if you’re trying to reach a certain status with them.

Of course you can credit your BA flight to BA or AA or anywhere else in OW that’s useful to you.
