Lounge access at DOH

We recently traveled QR in J thru DOH on an AA award and visited the Al Mourjan J lounge which was great. As AA EXP’s would we be given access to the new F lounge even though we were in J ?

Steve, unfortunately not. If you look at [URL]https://www.oneworld.com/ffp/lounge[/URL] access, the Doha lounges are exempt from access based on status.

If you want to try the new F lounge your best bet would be get on one of the QR flights to DXB or AUH, J seats are sold as F on these short flights and you would have access to the F lounge.

An award US-DOH-DXB with DOH-DXB in F would price out as an J award, but you would need to call AA and book it on the phone. Since this can not be booked online have AA cancel the phone booking fee .

Optionally if you can engineer a layover/stopover in DOH, booking a separate award with BA avios might be a good way to experience the new F lounge.
