Loosing Silver Status due to BA Strike
Hi.
Newbie here.
I’ve bee a Siver BA Exec Club members for several years (always just missing Gold).
I live in Bahrain and travel to the UK frequently but this year I’ve not been back as much. However, I had a trip planned…Bahrain, Heathrow, Newcastle, Heathrow, NewYork, LAX, Heathrow, Newcastle, Heathrow, Bahrain (All in 14 days). This would have taken me well over the 600 points required to maintain my Silver status.
However, the strike meant I had to make some changes flying Air France (no points) on a couple of the legs and American (Economy – no Plus available) on others reducing my usual Economy Plus points.
Anyway, I’m a single trip short and have nothing booked until mid-December, with my status expiring 08/11 card expiring 31/12. I’ve explained this to both Exec Club and Customer Relations and was met with short sharp response…”Bugger Off – Tough”. (paraphrasing) Maximin extension is 14 days.
Anyone out there come across anything similar or know of a “special” email address I can use to put my case.
Worse case is both my wife (BA Silver) and I will revert to GUlf where we are both Gold. That’s about 40 flights a year.
Thanks
Graham

Also ready their tips on how to approach a request.
It also looks like you could fly Bahrain to London round-trip for a weekend for about $650 (I looked at weekends in November on google flights). If Silver status is valuable to you, spending $650 to maintain it could be worthwhile.
Good ol’ fashioned status run!
