hi yall! Any advice on getting to London for a weekend end of may? I see some sporadic availibily on united in biz but nothing on lifemiles. Was thinking of using their promotion. Otherwise have quite a few United, chase and thank you points. Have like 30000 American miles too (am platinum)

Thabks so much for any advice.

Not seeing much availability unfortunately. There seems to be Y available on UA metal that lifemiles sees for 5/26 and then UA sees some space on LH metal on the return from DUB on the 28th but I’m not sure it’s worth positioning for such a short trip. If you definitely want to go I’d book with UA miles and then monitor for LH space coming open and pay the change fees to upgrade. Trying to change a lifemiles ticket later is likely to be painful. You could also look at OW options for one leg in Y with your AA miles (30k) but you’re likely to find mostly BA availability with high fuel surcharges. If you see space on Iberia, Finnair or AirBerlin I’d jump at that. Good luck!

Thabks Guarav I really appreciate your help. I do see some American availability believe it or not on their own metal here and there (not the exact right dates). Also economy backnusually fine as day flight (thanks for the tip)
