LH M&M vs UA M.P

LH M&M vs UA M.P

  1. Anonymous Guest

    Shalom Ben,
I am based in TLV and travel to Europe approx 8-12 a year, and to the US 1-2 a year.
I divide my flights between LY (on which I am Silver) and Star Alliance through my M.P card (on which I am silver as well). Since I can no longer commit to UA’s requirement of at least 4 UA segments, do you think it’s better that I switch my Star Alliance membership and start using M&M only? With most of EU travel on LHOS, this sounds like a good idea to me. But I would love to hear your thoughts.
    Thanks!
    Michael

If you need the elite status and cant make the 4 flights on UA requirement, then it doenst make sense to try.

Have you considered going for status with Aegean?

Hi David, Thanks for your reply. The reason I have UA MP is because I use to live in the US. Now that I am based in TLV and fly to Europe mostly, I use LHOS (less Aegean), hence my thought of switching MP to M&M. My only concern is losing the Silver status I currently have with UA and starting over. That said, I probably have to do that anyway, given UA’s rigorous 4 segment minimum on their metal.
