LH 388 vs LX 77W J

LH 388 vs LX 77W J

    Hello,

As the title implies, I’m just looking for some advice as to which product to take on a 10+ hr daytime flight. It is an award ticket, so there’s no cost differential. Am a solo traveler.

    Thank you!

I’ve not flown SWISS but LH J is solid though not spectacular.

Well, Lucky has said that LH J seats are awkwardly configured in that you’re angled toward each other at the feet so there’s a high chance your knees would knock together when sleeping.

Since you’re traveling alone you may find LX’s J staggered seats to be a bit better.

Also, on an award ticket, if youre booking with Aeroplan, they impose high surcharges on LH but no on LX.

It’s true your feet are angled toward each other. I flew this on a daytime flight and it just worked out that I stayed awake and did some work for a bit after the meal while my seatmate (a stranger) napped and only after he had awakened did I stretch out so it wasn’t an issue for me.

LX is generally better, both for the seat which has more space to the side and especially for food. I’d have no doubt and go with Swiss. Also all lounges in ZRH are better than those in FRA or MUC, sometimes way better.
    Don’t expect anything spectacular though…
